Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Boob Jobs!

Oh boobs, those protruding organs on the upper front of a woman’s body, according to Google, or things that guys like to play with, according to Urban Dictionary. Either way you look at them, they look fabulous. Our breasts help us feel feminine, sexy, and give us a reason to buy gorgeous bras! But more than that, our breasts are a part of ourselves that make us unique. We pay attention to how they grow during puberty, we compare their shapes and sizes to other women, but at the end of the day, we love our own boobs with all our heart.

Unfortunately, like anything in life, sometimes our boobs don’t always live up to our expectations. Maybe it’s because they didn’t reach the size we always dreamed of, or they’re a little too heavy for our liking, or because they aren’t as perky as we would’ve wanted. Whatever the reason, some women find themselves thinking, Should I get a boob job?

And no matter the reason, the question is valid. Boob jobs tend to have a bad reputation. People assume girls that get boobs jobs are vain, only care about attention they’ll receive from men, and are “slutty”. But these assumptions are not only rude, but very false. Most women don’t go under the knife and get pumped with anesthesia for male validation, or because they only care about their looks. They do this because they love and care for their bodies, and they want to love their body just that much more. Some women feel their best when they put on heels or slip into a flattering dress, and some feel their best when their chest is just a little bit bigger. There is no shame in getting or wanting a boob job.

There are multiple forms of boob jobs. The umbrella term is breast augmentation. Including mastopexy, which lifts the breast. It is common for older women to be interested in breast lifts, as the shape and elasticity of your breasts can decrease with aging, pregnancy, breast feeding, and weight loss.

Possibly the most well known type of breast augmentation is known as augmentation mammaplasty. This is when breast implants are added to the breast to increase their size and shape. It takes lots of thought and consideration to decide what size women would like their breast implants. If the desired size is too large and possibly risky for the patient, the doctor will most likely not go through with the procedure.

Another type of boob job is a breast reduction, which removes excess breast fat, tissue, and skin to decrease their size. Women that get breast reductions often have health or emotional issues due to their breast size. They feel more comfortable and confident with a smaller bust. Back, neck, and shoulder pain can be caused by large breasts, along with other health problems. If you are unsure you should get a breast reduction, take this quiz.

When it comes to our bodies, loving yourself is key. And if changing a part of that body makes you more confident then go for it. If you’re waking up every morning wishing your breasts were different, it might be time to consider a boob job. But don’t fret, talk with your doctor and surgeon, consider the pros and cons, and take the safest route, and you’ll come out looking and feeling better than ever.

It’ll do magic believe it or not, that bibbidi-bobbidi-boob job.
